Douglas L. Barrett has built his career around one mission: helping hardworking Utah families and individuals regain financial control through bankruptcy. As the founding attorney of the Law Office of Douglas Barrett, LLC, Doug has guided thousands of clients through the bankruptcy process with personalized attention and deep legal expertise.
After earning his BA from BYU in 1993 and his JD from Whittier Law School in 2000, Doug clerked for two U.S. Bankruptcy Court judges — gaining invaluable insight into how bankruptcy cases are decided from the bench. This experience gives his clients a significant advantage in the courtroom.
Doug's approach is straightforward and compassionate. He believes bankruptcy is not a failure but a powerful legal tool designed to give honest people a fresh start. His office in Orem serves clients across the entire state of Utah, with Zoom consultations available for those outside of Utah County.
